TAIPEI (Bloomberg): A high-profile government spokeswoman in Taiwan has resigned after a media outlet reported that she had an affair with a government-appointed bodyguard.

The Presidential Office’s Kolas Yotaka tendered her resignation on Wednesday (June 28) to avoid any negative impact on its work, office spokesperson Lin Yu-chan said in a statement.
