Laos' trade value exceeds US$1bil in May


VIENTIANE, June 26 (Xinhua): The combined trade value of Laos' imports and exports amounted to 1,086 million U.S. dollars in May, showed the latest data from the Lao Trade Portal website.

The value of exports in May was recorded at about 520 million dollars while imports were valued at about 567 million dollars, resulting in a trade deficit of 47 million dollars, a significant increase from the 17 million dollars recorded in April, according to the data.
