President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr has challenged Filipinos to assert the liberties their ancestors had fought during the country’s 125th Independence Day celebration.

“We are the inheritors of the glorious heroism and nobility that our ancestors have demonstrated throughout our long and storied history,” he said.
