BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia News Network): Fifteen tourists and their Thai guide had a lucky escape on Wednesday (June 7) morning when their tour bus was engulfed in flames as it left Bangkok for Ayutthaya.

Bus driver Kuanchit (last name withheld) said he noticed smoke pouring from the luggage compartment at around 8am, soon after picking up a Polish tour group from Bangkok Palace Hotel.
