South-East Asia's largest wind power plant to be built in Laos


VIENTIANE, March 4 (Xinhua): The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Monsoon Wind Power Company Limited has signed a US$692.55 million loan agreement to build a wind power plant in Laos.

Comprising 133 wind turbines with a capacity of 600 MW, the Monsoon Wind Power Project will be the largest wind power plant in South-East Asia and the first in Laos, according to a report released by the ADB on Friday.
