Fifth Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge half complete


Lao Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh and Thai Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-O-Cha attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the fifth Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge in Borikhamxay province.- VT

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): Top Lao and Thai leaders gathered in Borikhamxay and Bueng Kan provinces on Friday (Oct 29) for the official groundbreaking ceremony for the fifth Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge which is more than 50 per cent complete.

Though work on the bridge began some time ago, the official groundbreaking was done following the easing of the Covid-19 pandemic.
