Laos calls for parliamentary diplomacy in addressing conflicts

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): A top Lao legislator has suggested that parliamentary diplomacy should play a greater role in resolving conflicts, when speaking at the 30th Annual Congress of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum taking place in Bangkok, Thailand, from Oct 26-29.

The President of Laos’ National Assembly, Dr Xaysomphone Phomvihane made the comment at the annual meeting under the theme “The Role of Parliament in Accelerating Sustainable Development after the Coronavirus 2019 Outbreak”.
