Brunei govt goes all to protect consumer rights and ensures good prices are not overpriced

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Aug 27 (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): From July to mid August 2022, nine warning notices and seven compounds amounting to BND4,100 were issued by the Department of Economic Planning and Statistics (DEPS) under the Brunei Ministry of Finance and Economy for violating the Price Control Act, Chapter 142 and regulations under it.

The offences were found during daily routine inspections throughout the country by the Consumer Affairs Department resulting in the issuance of compound fines.
