Lao PM heads to Washington for US-Asean Summit

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh on Tuesday (May 10) departed Vientiane to attend the US-Asean Special Summit scheduled to take place in Washington, DC on May 12 and 13.

Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Vientiane, Joy M. Sakurai, saw the PM off at Wattay International Airport to bid him “safe travels” to Washington, according to the US Embassy.
