Lao soldiers seize huge cocaine consignment in Champassak

VIENTIANE (Vientiane/Asia News Network): Soldiers working in the border area between Champassak province last week stopped three men driving tractors and found the vehicles loaded with cocaine.

Local authorities said soldiers stopped the tractors at around 1am to question the men riding them, but the drivers fled the scene, according to Lao Security News.
