Thailand's economy to return to pre-pandemic level in 2023, says central bank governor

BANGKOK, Dec 12 (Reuters): Thailand's economy is expected to return to pre-pandemic levels in the first quarter of 2023 and its recovery will be slower than some other countries in the region, the central bank governor told a business forum recently this week.

"Recovery will be slow and uneven... because Covid-19 hit us in the soft underbelly in the tourism sector," Bank of Thailand Governor Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput said during the forum..
