Children under 12 now allowed to visit malls in Java

JAKARTA (The Jakarta Post/Asia News Network): The government is now allowing children under 12 years old to visit shopping malls in some areas of Java, following requests from retailers to lift a ban imposed on Aug 10.

Coordinating Maritime Affairs and Investment Minister Luhut Pandjaitan told reporters on Monday (Sept 20) that the eased policy was a trial run and limited to shopping malls in the five major cities on Java: Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta and Surabaya.
