Experts against govt plan to turn Pattaya beach into Miami lookalike


BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia News Network): Several landscape specialists and arborists have been brainstorming over the development of Pattaya beach after the government announced it was replacing the nativeIndian almond trees with palm trees.

Chorpaka Wiriyanon, co-founder of the Thailand Urban Tree Network, said the government should change its city-development plans because residents don’t agree with it.
