Thailand's total Covid-19 caseload passes one million mark

BANGKOK, Aug 21 (Bernama): Thailand’s total Covid-19 cases surpassed 1 million infections on Friday (Aug 20) as the kingdom ramps up further its vaccination drive to curb the rapid surge in new cases, driven by the contagious Delta variant.

Over the last 24 hours, Thailand recorded 19,851 new Covid-19 cases and 240 deaths bringing the total infections in the kingdom to 1,009,710 and 8,826 fatalities since the outbreak in January last year.
