Outbound travellers from Brunei required to vaccinate from August


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): With the consent of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has issued updates to the Exit-Travel Application Guidelines, requiring outbound travellers to obtain mandatory Covid-19 vaccinations.

The additional condition, which comes into effect on Aug 1, applies to citizens and residents working abroad, transport operators, foreign workers returning to their country of origin for the purpose of mandatory contract leave and returning again to Brunei Darussalam (on a valid employment pass or dependent’s pass), and anyone exiting the country for business and other essential travel.
