Army officers deployed for peacekeeping mission abroad

The country will deploy four officers from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces as members of the third Independent Decommissioning Body Verification, Monitoring and Assistance Team (IDB VMAT) in Mindanao, the Philippines.

A flag handing-over ceremony was held at the Bolkiah Garrison gymnasium on Monday with the Brunei defence ministry’s Permanent Secretary Shahril Anwar and Philippine ambassador to Brunei Christopher B. Montero in attendance, among others.
