‘China, US need to boost ties’


WASHINGTON: China and the United States “urgently need” to enhance cooperation as the world faces the common enemy of the Covid-19 pandemic and an increasing threat from climate change, Chinese Ambassador Cui Tiankai said.

“Both China and the United States gain from cooperation and lose from confrontation, ” said Cui in his speech at the “China-US Engagement: Past Achievements & Future Adjustments” Online Dialogue on Wednesday, an event organised by the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament and the Carter Center.
