Median income of Singapore residents down for first time since 2004


SINGAPORE (The Straits Times/ANN): The income of Singaporeans and permanent residents took a hit not felt since 2004 because of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to advance estimates released by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) on Thursday (Dec 3).

The nominal median income for residents -- that is, Singaporeans and PRs -- dipped by 0.6 per cent to S$4,534 over the year to June, down from S$4,563 last year.
