YANGON, Nov 7 (Xinhua): Over 6.1 million citizens are eligible to cast ballots in upcoming general elections in Myanmar's Yangon region, state-run media quoted Yangon Region Election Sub-Commission on Saturday.

A total of 833 candidates will vie for seats in the House of Representatives (Lower House), the House of Nationalities (Upper House), regional parliament and for ethnic minority at regional and state parliament, the regional sub-commission's data showed.
