PHNOM PENH, Sept 11 (Xinhua): Cambodia on Friday set a new monthly minimum wage for the kingdom's garment and footwear industry at US$192 for 2021, up 1.05 per cent from the current US$190 dollars, although the sector has been badly hit by the impact of Covid-19, Labour Minister Ith Samheng announced.
The minister said that Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen decided to increase two dollars to the minimum wage for next year and it will take effect on Jan. 1, 2021.
