World Bank, partners provide US$1 million for Lao Covid-19 control

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN): The Ministry of Health, World Bank, and the Embassies of Australia, Germany, and Japan held a joint press conference recently to announce a grant of US$1 million from the Pandemic Emergency Financing Facility (PEF) to support Laos’ response to Covid-19.

Speaking at the press conference Minister of Health, Dr Bounkong Syhavong, said the government of Laos is taking all necessary measures to address the Covid-19 pandemic.
