New app launched to boost Brunei's BruHealth reach

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): PremiseScan, a new application, was launched on Thursday (May 28) to further ensure better accessibility of the BruHealth application to all residents of Brunei Darussalam by giving business premises owners the ability to scan users’ personal QR codes upon entering and exiting the premises.

This was announced by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dr Awang Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah during a press conference at the Al-‘Afiah Hall of the Health Ministry yesterday.

The minister said 233,737 individuals and 3,825 business premises had registered with the BruHealth application showing an encouraging number and strong support in ensuring that the BruHealth application is used successfully.

On the PremiseScan application, the minister said it is allows users who are not able to access the BruHealth application to use an alternative method when entering or exiting business premises.

“These users can obtain Bruhealth’s personal QR code first by visiting the website www.healthinfo.gov.bn. The QR code must be brought to the premises to be visited for scanning by the owner of the premises using PremiseScan, ” said the minister.

A short tutorial video of the PremiseScan application was also shown during the press conference where the minister reminded all application users and owners of the premises that the QR code should be scanned before entering and exiting the premises.

The minister added that several government and private sector premises have also adopted the BruHealth application for users entering and exiting the premises. - Borneo Bulletin/Asia News Network
