Asus has unveiled its latest business-oriented Ultrabooks, the AsusPro B Advanced BU400 and P Essential P45.

The Ultrabooks have been tested extensively for durability, as part of the company’s commitment towards creating a reliable business notebook.

The BU400 specifically has an aluminium and carbon fibre construction which makes it light and strong — Asus claims that this notebook exceeds the MIL-STD 810G military standard.

As for hardware specifications, the BU400 comes with an Intel 2.7GHz Core i5-3337U 2.70GHz processor, Windows 8 Pro 64-bit, 4GB RAM, nVidia GeForce 5200M graphics chip, 14in (1,366 x 7,68-pixels) LED backlit display.

Unusually, the BU400 comes with both a 500GB SATA hard disk drive and a 128GB SSD (solid-state drive) built in.

The P45, on the other hand, has an Intel Core i7-3520U 3.60GHz processor, Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, 8GB RAM, 750GB hard disk, 2GB nVidia GeForce GT635M graphics chiip and a 14in (1,366 x 768-pixel) LED backlit display.

The BU400 will be available from mid-September for RM3,599, while the P45 will be available end of August for RM3,099.
