PETALING JAYA: Prince Tagoe has been in Kota Baru since last month and obtained his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) 10 days ago.
But he has yet to take to the field.
The 2010 World Cupper was supposed to make his debut in the Super League match against Perak at the Sultan Mohd IV Stadium last Saturday but it failed to materialise.
No wonder the Kelantan fans are itching to see the Ghana striker in action.
And Kelantan team manager Azman Ibrahim is ready to oblige, saying they will unleash their new striker soon.
“It depends on the coach. He may be fielded this week ... but definitely for the all-important FA Cup semi-final return-leg match against Felda United at the end of the month,” said Azman from Kota Baru on Wednesday.
Kelantan play T-Team away in a Super League match at the Sultan Ismail Stadium on Saturday before facing Felda in the semi-finals at the Shah Alam Stadium on May 30.
Kelantan drew 3-3 with Felda in the first-leg in Kota Baru.
Azman said that Tagoe’s presence would strengthen the east coast side following the departure of Lebanese striker Mohd Ghaddar Mahmoud during the second transfer window last month.
The forward line is currently led by Francis Doe of Liberia, locals Ahmad Fakri Saarani and Shakir Ali and attacking midfielder Mohd Shawky of Egypt.
