Free shuttle service available since February

WE refer to the letter “Hassle for passengers using Penang Ferry” (The Star, March 14) regarding the absence of a shuttle service, when in actual fact, the free shuttle van service has been provided from 6am to 12 midnight in 15 minutes interval.

We hereby confirm that a free shuttle van service from the ferry terminal to transport passengers, especially senior citizens, the infirm, children and those with physical disabilities to the new temporary bus and taxi terminal and vice versa, had been started by Penang Sentral Sdn Bhd’s contractor, Semasa Services Sdn Bhd (SSRV) from middle of February this year.
