I HEARD the news on Monday that cloud seeding will be deferred to next week.
One of the reasons was that it was expensive costing RM80,000.
Can the authorities please reconsider their decision? We can see the clouds now, how certain are we that we will see them next week?
It is very hot now getting close to 50 C. Rain will bring us cool respite from the heat.
Please work with the Finance Ministry to crunch the numbers. If because of reduced or no water, the business (agriculture, manufacturing, etc) sectors make a loss in revenue thus profit, this will translate to loss of collectible taxes.
Also, I heard over the news that firemen were facing difficulty fighting fires because of no water.
I am sure the Finance Ministry can find the budget for cloud seeding.
