Fire at Angkasapuri computer room


KUALA LUMPUR: A computer room on the fifth floor of Wisma TV, Angkasapuri caught fire on Sunday night.

Fire and Rescue Department operations commander Che Shaari Abdullah said an auxiliary policeman alerted the department at about 8.30pm after the alarm went off.

“We sent two fire engines and 27 men from Pantai and Seputeh stations to the scene.

“When we arrived the room was filled with thick smoke,” he said adding that the fire was put out in 10 minutes.

He said the cause of the fire and losses were still under investigations. No one was injured.
