PETALING JAYA: A Hasher has gone missing in Bukit Hartamas in Cheras and a huge search has been mounted for him.

Teo Kim Lean, 53, a member of the Klang Hash House Harriers and Harriettes, was reported missing at 6pm Tuesday.

Patrick Lim, grandmaster of the Klang chapter, said about 100 hashers were involved in the search and rescue (SAR) for Teo, nicknamed Oily, since Tuesday night.

“We formed a SAR group on Wednesday evening to look for him.

“It’s normal for hashers to run off course but in this case, Oily went for a hike on his own,” he explained.

Lim said the search ended at midnight Wednesday and resumed Thursday night.

“The base camp is at Bukit Hartamas with the search extending all the way to Saga Hill,” he added.

Firefighters from Kajang and Pandan Fire and Rescue Departments and Kajang police are in the area to assist in the search.
