Teoh’s family gets two weeks to settle civil suit

KUALA LUMPUR: The family members of Teoh Beng Hock have been given two weeks to see if they can resolve their civil suit against the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the Government over his death, failing which the trial will continue.

High Court judge Justice Rosnaini Saub issued the ultimatum to the parties involved following a landmark judgment on Sept 5 last year in which the Court of Appeal had set aside the coroner’s open verdict in Teoh’s inquest.
