KAJANG: A businesswoman who was detained on suspicion of killing her husband is the fifth person to be charged with the murder of Leong Kian Sheong and his companion at Taman Segar Perdana here last month.

Yau Chooi Thin, 29, was charged in the magistrate’s court here with murdering Leong, 37, who was a businessman, at a house in Cheras between 6.10am and 6.45am on Sept 13.

She is also accused of murdering part-time model Vivien Wong, 20, at the same time and place.

Yau is believed to have committed the offence with two other people, who are still at large, as well as four others who have already been charged.

It was previously reported that on Sept 14, the bodies of Leong and Wong were found in a pool of blood in a room on the ground floor of the house.

If found guilty of the charges under Section 302 of the Penal Code, Yau faces the mandatory death penalty.

DPP Siamalah Rangasamy prosecuted, while Yau was represented by lawyer Geethan Ram Vincent.

Magistrate Aina Azahra Arifin set Dec 5 for next mention date.

Self-employed Ismail Ahmad, 58, taxi driver S. Dheepak, 27, Internet cafe staff S. Sandrasa-gran, 37, and security guard V. Rajendra Prakash, 33, were jointly charged with the same offence on Oct 4.
