Angsana trees girdled to death

GEORGE TOWN: More than 20 Angsana trees along Jalan Tun Dr Awang in Bayan Lepas are dead or dying as a result of “girdling”.

The trees, some 20m-high and more than 30 years old, had had the barks of their entire trunks removed.
