Gamblers flee cops, only to end up in croc-infested waters

Items seized by Sarawak cops during raids against gambling.

MIRI: It was a case of “from the frying pan and into the fire” when a group of gamblers jumped into a crocodile-infested river in an attempt to flee a police raid.

In the incident that happened in Bako town in southern Sarawak on Wednesday, police ended up having to rescue the seven gamblers from their ill-conceived escape bid.
