Shaolin temple, hotel to replace forest area

GEORGE TOWN: A Shaolin martial arts temple, international school, college, four-star hotel and over 2,100 residential units – these are the plans for the huge piece of cleared hillslope forest near Teluk Bahang.

The temple will cover 3,700sq m with a 450sq m meditation yard. The proposed hotel will be 25 storeys high on a 4,280sq m plot.
