Scammers collect RM5,000 each from at least nine victims with promise of public housing

JOHOR BARU: A housing scam syndicate has been collecting RM5,000 from members of the public as booking fee for the purchase of Johor Affordable Homes (RMMJ) unit.

The syndicate even issues fake letters complete with the Johor government’s letterhead to those who have paid the booking fee for the public housing.
