KUCHING: Sarawak is holding its first English language education symposium to improve English proficiency among the people beyond the environment of educational institutions.

Education, Science and Technological Research Minister Datuk Seri Michael Manyin Jawong said the conference aimed to bridge curriculum, classroom practice and community outreach to create an environment where English flourishes without threatening the survival of indigenous languages.
