Stumped: International chefs appear in strange videos, holding logs

A series of mysterious videos featuring chefs from around the world petting logs has the online food world baffled – and intrigued.

Since March 26, a YouTube channel called “Log Ladies” has been uploading a series of 14-second, black and white videos of some of the world’s top chefs including Nomas René Redzepi, Paris chef Inaki Aizpitarte and Australia’s Ben Shewry holding and petting a log in a haze of smoke.
