PUTRAJAYA: The issue of irregular movement of people, in particular human trafficking and people smuggling will be discussed at a meeting between the Malaysian, Thai and Indonesian foreign ministries here on May 20.
Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman will be representing Malaysia, deputy prime minister and foreign minister General Tanasak Patimapragorn (ret.) for Thailand and minister of foreign affairs Retno Marsudi for Indonesia.
In a statement, Wisma Putra said Malaysia remained committed to working closely with affected countries and members of the international community in resolving this issue in the region.
"Malaysia will continue to seek a solution on this issue through, inter alia, concerted and coordinated efforts among the countries of origin, transit and destination," it said.
