Au Meng Kit developed his pastry-making skills as a boy helping out his parents. He has now made a name for himself with his own shop – and the Trishaw Egg Tart – in Penang.
Au Meng Kit was only two then but he vividly remembers seeing his Cantonese grandmother scurrying around the kitchen preparing rice, dim sum and pastries at their Kampar home’s makeshift tea-house over 30 years ago.
