THIS was truly turning out to be a trip with a difference. But for all the wrong reasons. Just replace the excitement of visiting a new destination and the thrill of impending adventure with excruciatingly long airport layovers, almost-missed connecting flights and a misplaced bag to top the gruelling 26 hours it took me to get there on a nightmarish Mumbai-Abu Dhabi-New York-Tobago-Port of Spain route. There are no direct flights from Malaysia but the good news is, visas are not required.
