The “application economy” is a revolution as the delivery of business value is increasingly taking place via digital interactions facilitated by applications. Thus, it is a fundamental business shift that needs to be on everyone’s agenda.
The global application economy was worth US$68bil (RM215.83 bil) in 2013 and is projected to grow to US$143bil (RM453.88bil) in 2016. This phenomenal growth potential will also impact Malaysia where the mobile penetration rate has reached over 140% with smartphone usage reaching 35% this year.
