D on Droid: Is Android for poor people?

A map by an open source mapping developer reveals that people in wealthier cities prefer a rival operating system over Android. 

I recently came across an interesting article by the Business Insider, which wrote about a depressing divide in smartphone ownership in America, ultimately concluding that "Android is for poor people".
