MyTNB app, website to undergo upgrade from April 17; services to be limited

PETALING JAYA: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) has announced that the MyTNB app and portal will undergo a scheduled system upgrade from Friday (April 17) to Saturday (April 18), during which access will be limited.

Both the MyTNB app and portal will be temporarily unavailable from 6pm Friday to 12am Saturday. Access will then be restored, but with limited functionality until 11.59pm on Saturday.

These limited functionalities include viewing bills, billing history, account details, tracking energy usage, and adding or removing accounts or users.

It should also be noted that payments made between 6pm Friday and 8.59am Sunday will be processed and reflected in users’ accounts from 9am Sunday onwards.

TNB advised customers to plan their transactions and activities in advance, adding that all services will be restored once the upgrade is completed.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and greatly appreciate your patience as we work to enhance the performance, stability and security of our digital platforms," it wrote in the announcement post.

It further said that customers can contact the TNB Careline or its Facebook or X page for assistance.

A separate Maybank notice states that TNB bill payments via its Maybank2u web and MAE app platforms will be temporarily unavailable from 7pm Friday (April 17) to 10pm Saturday (April 18) due to system maintenance by TNB.
