BERLIN:  If it's hot out today, then your smartphone knows the fastest way to the ice cream parlour and swimming spots. But don't forget that these devices are just as susceptible to heat as we are.

Rule number one of using a smartphone during hot weather is to never leave it in direct sunlight. And under no circumstances should it be left in a car.
