Amazon to invest over $5 billion in new AWS region in Taiwan

(Reuters) -Amazon announced the launch of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Asia Pacific (Taipei) Region on Thursday, along with plans to invest more than $5 billion to support the construction, connection, operation, and maintenance of its data centers in Taiwan.
