Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy A06, the company's latest budget smartphone offering, featuring 5G connectivity alongside a large 6.7in display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

The camera setup on the Galaxy A06 5G includes a 50-megapixel wide-angle main shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, while the front end of the device has an 8-megapixel teardrop selfie camera.

Powering the device's Dimensity 6300 processor is a 5000mAh battery equipped with 25W super fast charging. It also comes in a single storage variant, with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, though it does include the option for up to 1.5TB expandable storage via MicroSD.

Other features on the Galaxy A06 5G include IP54 water and dust resistance, and four main operating system updates along with four years worth of security patches.

Samsung's entry-level budget offering is priced at RM699 and comes in three colours: light green, light grey, and black.
