Electronics giant Samsung has revealed its 2025 edition of Galaxy smartphones, with the S25 Ultra (6.9in display), S25+ (6.7in display), and S25 (6.2in display).

The flagships are positioned as a "true AI (artificial intelligence) Companion" by Samsung, with improvements across the company's suite of AI-powered tools introduced in previous generations.

This includes the introduction of multimodal AI agents with One UI 7 that interpret text, speech, images, and videos and are intended to create a more seamless and natural user experience on the device.

Users can search for specific images or videos in the Samsung Gallery app by describing their content through typing or voice commands. The same feature is also available for navigating the settings menu, to do things like adjust font size or modify display colours.

The S25 Ultra has four sensors with the back-facing camera, with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide, 200-megapixel wide, 50-megapixel telephoto with 5x optical zoom, and 10-megapixel telephoto with 3x optical zoom. The S25 Ultra has four sensors with the back-facing camera, with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide, 200-megapixel wide, 50-megapixel telephoto with 5x optical zoom, and 10-megapixel telephoto with 3x optical zoom.

Enhancements to Google Circle to Search are also present with the S25 series, now allowing it to recognise phone numbers, email addresses, and links on screen.

Other AI features include call transcripts and summaries, Writing Assist to summarise and format notes, and Drawing Assist to generate images from text prompts and rough drawings.

Under the hood, the S25 series is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, with the S25 Ultra equipped with 5,000mAh battery, while the S25+ and regular S25 have 4,900mAh and 4,000mAh batteries respectively.

Samsung says that the S25 Ultra and S25+ can achieve up to a 65% charge in just 30 minutes when using a 45-watt wired charger, while the regular S25 can hit 50% in around 30 minutes with a 25-watt charger.

On the imaging side of things, the S25 Ultra has four sensors with the back-facing camera, with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide, 200-megapixel wide, 50-megapixel telephoto with 5x optical zoom, and 10-megapixel telephoto with 3x optical zoom.
