Last year’s motion-sensing alarm clock from Nintendo, the Alarmo, has finally made its way to Malaysian shores via local retailer M4G, though at a significantly higher cost than its official retail price.

With an RM899 pricetag on the M4G website, the Alarmo comes at almost double its official price on the American Nintendo online store, which has it available for US$99 (about RM446).

Nintendo's product page for the Alarmo states that it comes with 42 different scenes, with additional scenes available through WiFi updates.Nintendo's product page for the Alarmo states that it comes with 42 different scenes, with additional scenes available through WiFi updates.

With a round face and bright red body, the Alarmo is essentially a smart alarm clock equipped with motion sensors, enabling it to detect if someone is still in bed and continue playing alarms until they physically get up, ensuring there’s no hitting snooze and dozing back off.

The alarms can be set to feature scenes from Nintendo franchises like Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4, and Ring Fit Adventure.

Currently, the Alarmo is only officially available to those in the United States and Canada with an active Nintendo Switch Online membership, while those in Japan can obtain it both online and in-store.Currently, the Alarmo is only officially available to those in the United States and Canada with an active Nintendo Switch Online membership, while those in Japan can obtain it both online and in-store.

Each alarm includes music and sound effects from the respective games, with characters from the titles appearing to wake users up.

However, according to an X (formerly Twitter) post from Nintendo of America, the clock will be available at selected physical retailers in the US in March, meaning that the Nintendo Switch Online membership will no longer be required at that point.
