Apple is expected to launch new iPad models and a successor to the iPhone SE by April this year, according to Mark Gurman, a Bloomberg reporter with a strong track record for Apple-related news and predictions.
In a post to X (formerly Twitter), Gurman writes that the devices are being developed alongside iOS 18.3, while at the same time refuting claims that they would be launching alongside the operating system update rumoured to launch by the end of January.
Yes, the new iPads and iPhone SE replacement are being developed on the iOS 18.3 train - but that doesn’t mean they launch together this month. It means they’ll launch before iOS 18.4, by April if all goes to plan. https://t.co/qaMSH1ImSW

A refresh for the iPhone SE has been long anticipated by Apple fans, with the previous version launching over two years ago in June 2022, while the previous release for the base model iPad was later in October 2022.
