It appears that social media service X (previously known as Twitter) is currently down, with all posts on the platform no longer being showed to its users.

According to downdetector.com, reports of the outage started coming in from around 1.15pm today, with a spike to 83,394 reports at 1.39pm.

In tests, LifestyleTech was able to access the main webpage of the social media platform. However there was only a message reading “Welcome to X!” on the landing page.

It was also accompanied by a notice asking users to “find people and topics to follow” as if it was a brand new account.

Users are still able to view the profiles of others on the platform, but all posts will be similarly missing.

LifestyleTech was also briefly able to join an X Spaces live audio conversation despite the normal posts being missing, however upon refreshing the page, the option to do so was no longer available.

This is not the first time such an issue had occurred with the platform, with a strange issue back in August causing all photos uploaded between 2011 to 2014 to go missing.
