PETALING JAYA: U Mobile users have reported that they are experiencing connectivity issues, with some claiming a complete loss of Internet service while others are only unable to access certain websites.

It appears that the issues are intermittent and only affect certain users, with some saying their connection comes back sporadically.

Based on user posts on Twitter, the disruption has been ongoing since about 10am today.

U Mobile itself has yet to acknowledge the reported outages on social media, but has responded to user tweets, requesting those with issues to share more details and their contact information via direct message.

The U Mobile website does have a network outage page that lists Dengkil, Selangor and Maran, Pahang as undergoing network maintenance today, from 9am to 10pm and 9am to 11pm respectively, which might explain the disruption.

This seems to be corroborated by website Down Detector, where only a few users have reported issues, indicating perhaps the issues are isolated and not nationwide.

It is also worth noting that the page lists further maintenance scheduled for tomorrow, which all start at 9am.

Locations included for tomorrow’s maintenance includes Maran, Pahang (scheduled to end at 10pm), Manjung, Perak (ending 10pm), and Hulu Terengganu and Marang, Terengganu (ending 9pm).
